Apariencia:
Inclusiones rojo-púrpura que aparecen como un bucle, anillo o forma de ocho y abarcan el diámetro del glóbulo rojo. Se pueden ver 1-2 anillos de cabot en una sola célula. 1
Nota: El hallazgo es raro, y no debe confundirse con la malaria.
