Apariencia:
Las inclusiones de hemoglobina H solo se pueden visualizar con manchas supravitales y no con manchas de Wright o Romanowsky. Con las manchas supravitales, como el Azul Cresyl Brillian, los glóbulos rojos están cubiertos de numerosos puntos pequeños, de color azul oscuro que dan a las células una apariencia de “pelota de golf” o “frambuesa”. 1,2

La hemoglobina H se compone de 4 cadenas de globina en una formación de tetrámero. La hemoglobina H es inestable y precipitará con el tiempo en los glóbulos rojos, lo que lleva a la formación de Heinz Body. La precipitación se puede inducir mediante tinciones supravitales, y se puede utilizar para visualizar inclusiones de Hemoglobina H.
