- Las comunidades de AI/AN se encontraron con asuntos de género particularmente sobre las coreas/obligaciones como la crianza de los hijos, la caza, la recolección, el comercio, etc. Dado que las naciones nativas americanas no son un monolito, los roles de género son bastante diversos y no necesariamente siguen los roles de género tradicionales como se ve con más frecuencia entre Euroamericanos. En las siguientes secciones, queda claro que el género sigue siendo un estado/característica sobresaliente que puede tener impactos significativos dentro de las comunidades indígenas.
