    Orígenes de las emociones

    Al nacer, los infantes presentan 2 respuestas emocionales: atracción y abstinencia. Muestran interés en situaciones agradables que traen comodidad, estimulación y placer, y se retiran de estímulos desagradables como sabores amargos o molestias físicas. Alrededor de los 2 meses, los infantes exhiben compromiso social en forma de sonrisas sociales mientras responden con sonrisas a quienes involucran su atención positiva (Lavelli & Fogel, 2005).

    La sonrisa social se vuelve más estable y organizada a medida que los bebés aprenden a usar sus sonrisas para involucrar a sus padres y cuidadores en las interacciones.
