Las Escalas Bayley de Desarrollo Infantil y Infantil, Tercera Edición (Bayley-III) evalúan exhaustivamente a los niños dentro del rango de edad de 1 a 42 meses (Pearson Education, 2016). Los niños son evaluados en cinco dominios clave del desarrollo, incluyendo cognición, lenguaje, socioemocional, motor y comportamiento adaptativo. Al identificar retrasos en el desarrollo en los muy jóvenes, las escalas de Bayley pueden resaltar qué técnicas de intervención temprana podrían ser más beneficiosas. Incluso se puede obtener información detallada de niños no verbales.
