Con un planeta tan viejo, grande y complejo como la Tierra, ¡no es de extrañar que tengamos tantos enfoques diferentes dentro de la geología! La mayoría de los geólogos comienzan con los mismos antecedentes geológicos generales, que luego aplican a sus campos de elección.
