Creada en un estilo noruego distinto, esta cuna tan querida ha sido testigo de una larga vida como lo demuestran sus numerosas reparaciones. La fecha 1846 está tallada en su cabecera. Pero esta fecha difiere de una fotografía de los años veinte de los archivos de la Sociedad. Una nota manuscrita en la parte posterior de la foto afirma: “Esta cuna fue hecha en el año 1855 por el tío Sever Syverson en Black Earth Wisconsin”. Muchas veces, la historia familiar y la historia familiar presentan fechas e historias contrastantes.
Hacia 1920, los descendientes posan con la cuna y otro mueble hecho a mano por Sever Syverson. MHAHS 4×6.04075.
