Esta grabación es de la violinista Dagny Andrea Veum Quisling (1869-1952) de Madison interpretando un Halling, un atlético baile rural noruego que implica saltos y patadas interpretados por jóvenes.
Quisling nació en Fyredal, Telemark, Noruega, un bastión para los violinistas Hardanger. Su esposo era Sverre Quisling, médico de Madison. A veces llamada Andrea, Quisling era la única mujer activa en el Kappleik (Competencias) de la Hardanger Fiddle Association of America. Compitió en un Kappleik de 1921 en Mount Horeb.
