27.5 Cuándo Usar Séptimo Acordes
En tus armonizaciones de melodías, lo mejor es usar acordes séptimos para agregar tensión a medida que te acercas a la función tónica. Por lo tanto, las séptimas se agregan con mayor frecuencia a acordes de función dominante (VV y viiviio) y acordes de función predominante (iiii y, en menor medida, IVIV). (Consulte el diagrama de flujo armónico.) Por esta razón, los acordes séptimos como iiiiii7, vivi7, IVMIVM7 e IMIM7 son menos utilizados y encontrados.
