Hipótesis 2.1 (Atmósfera estándar)
Las tipótesis básicas de ISA son:
- Cumple con la ecuación perfecta del gas:

dónde\(R\) está la constante de gas perfecta para el aire (\(R = 287.053 [J/kg\ K]\)),\(p\) es la presión,\(\rho\) es la densidad y\(T\) la temperatura. - En la troposfera el gradiente de temperatura es constante.

donde\(T_0 = 288.15 [K], \alpha = 6.5 [K/km]\). - En la tropopausa y la estratosfera inferior la temperatura es constante.

donde\(T_{11} = 216.65[K]\). - La presión del aire a nivel del mar (\(h = 0\)) es\(p_0 = 101325 [Pa]\). En la Ecuación (\(\ref{eq2.3.1.1}\)), la densidad del aire a nivel del mar rinde\(\rho_0 = 1.225 [kg/m^3]\).
- La aceleración por gravedad es constante (\(g = 9.80665 [m/s^2]\)).
- El ambiente está en calma con respecto a la Tierra.
