Al finalizar con éxito este capítulo, usted será capaz de:
- Explicar el proceso general de desarrollo de una nueva aplicación de software;
- Explicar las diferencias entre las metodologías de desarrollo de software;
- Comprender los diferentes tipos de lenguajes de programación utilizados para desarrollar software;

Las personas construyen sistemas de información para el uso de las personas. Este capítulo analizará diferentes métodos para administrar el proceso de desarrollo de un sistema de información, con especial atención al desarrollo de software, revisar el desarrollo de aplicaciones móviles y discutir la computación del usuario final. Analizaremos las compensaciones clave que enfrentan las organizaciones al tomar decisiones críticas para “construir vs. comprar o suscribir”, el acto de equilibrio entre alcance, costo y tiempo mientras entregamos un proyecto de alta calidad y obtienen el buy-in de los usuarios.
