Para los días cálidos y fríos, se utiliza el llamado cálido (ISA+5, ISA+10, ISA+15, etc.) y frío (ISA-5, ISA-10, ISA-15, etc.), donde los incrementos (decrementos) representan la diferencia con respecto a los 288.15 [K] de un día promedio.
Dada la nueva\(T_0\), y dada la misma presión al nivel del mar (\(p_0\)no cambia), se puede calcular la nueva densidad a nivel del mar. Después se obtiene la ecuación ISA procediendo de la misma manera.
