Para situar el marco de referencia del eje del viento con respecto al marco de referencia del horizonte local, se particulariza la forma general dada en el Ejemplo (12.2) para:

    • \(F_I \equiv F_w; F_F \equiv F_b.\)
    • \(\delta_3 \equiv -\beta \to \text{Sideslip angle,}\)
    • \(\delta_2 \equiv \alpha \to \text{Angle of attack,}\)
    • \(\delta_1 = 0.\)

    La matriz de transformación será:

    \[L_{wh} = \begin{bmatrix} \cos \alpha \cos \beta & -\cos \alpha \sin \beta & - \sin \alpha \\ \sin \beta & \cos \beta & 0 \\ \sin \alpha \cos \beta & -\sin \alpha \sin \beta & \cos \alpha \end{bmatrix}\]
