Se prepara un sistema cerrado dado utilizando\(\mathrm{n}_{\mathrm{i}}^{0}\) moles de cada sustancia química\(i\). En el grado de reacción química\(\xi\) la relación\((\mathrm{A}/\mathrm{T})\) donde\(\mathrm{A}\) está la afinidad por la reacción química espontánea se define por variables independientes,\(\mathrm{T}\),\(p\) y\(\xi\).
