    Ahora dirigimos nuestra atención a las ecuaciones diferenciales no lineales. En particular, estudiamos cómo pequeños cambios en los parámetros de un sistema pueden resultar en cambios cualitativos en la dinámica. Estos cambios cualitativos en la dinámica se denominan bifurcaciones. Para entender las bifurcaciones, primero necesitamos entender los conceptos de puntos fijos y estabilidad.

Iniciar el péndulo desde una condición inicial ligeramente diferente resultaría en una trayectoria completamente diferente.
