    Introducción a la Psicología utiliza el doble tema de comportamiento y empirismo para hacer que la psicología sea relevante para los estudiantes de intro. El autor escribió este libro para ayudar a los estudiantes a organizar su pensamiento sobre la psicología a nivel conceptual. Dentro de cinco o diez años, no espera que sus alumnos recuerden los detalles de la mayor parte de lo que les enseña. No obstante, sí espera que recuerden que la psicología importa porque nos ayuda a entender el comportamiento y que nuestro conocimiento de la psicología se base en el estudio empírico.
