En este módulo, presentaremos los conceptos que rodean el desafío global del acceso y la inseguridad alimentaria y la vulnerabilidad de los sistemas agroalimentarios y poblaciones particulares a los choques del mercado y del clima. Los conceptos utilizados en esta unidad se fundamentan en las ideas de choques y perturbaciones, resiliencia, capacidad adaptativa y vulnerabilidad de los sistemas agroalimentarios que se cubrieron en la unidad 11.1. La unidad, por lo tanto, ilustra un aspecto urgente del análisis del sistema agroalimentario como un sistema acoplado natural-humano.
