Ingredientes:\(C\) una curva cerrada simple (es decir, sin autointersección), y\(R\) el interior de\(C\).
\(C\)debe ser liso por piezas (atravesado por lo que la región interior\(R\) está a la izquierda) y lisa por partes (algunas esquinas están bien).
Si el campo vectorial\(F = (M, N)\) está definido y diferenciable en\(R\) entonces
\[\oint_{C} M\ dx + N\ dy = \int \int_R N_x - M_y\ dA.\]
En forma vectorial esto está escrito
\[\oint_{C} F \cdot dr = \int \int_{R} \text{curl} F\ dA.\]
donde el rizo se define como\(\text{curl} F = (N_x - M_y)\)
