- Anteriormente, vimos que la solución del problema del péndulo no lineal se puede encontrar hasta cuadratura. De hecho, las soluciones integrales pueden transformarse en lo que se conoce como una integral elíptica de primer tipo. Reescribiremos nuestro resultado y luego lo usaremos para obtener una aproximación al período de oscilación de nuestro péndulo no lineal, conduciendo a correcciones al resultado lineal encontrado anteriormente.
Miniaturas: Una animación de péndulo de doble varilla que muestra un comportamiento caótico. Iniciar el péndulo desde una condición inicial ligeramente diferente resultaría en una trayectoria completamente diferente.
