- ¿Qué hace que una molécula (o un átomo o ion) sea una base de Lewis? Debe tener un par de electrones disponibles para compartir con otro átomo para formar un enlace. Los electrones más fácilmente disponibles son aquellos que no están ya en enlaces. Los electrones de unión son bajos en energía. Los electrones no enlazantes son más altos en energía y pueden estabilizarse cuando se deslocalizan en un nuevo enlace.
